DJ Wolf Auris has been Djing for 20 years.
Growing up in a council estate in north Finchley listening to local pirate radio stations, this is where I was first inspired to start getting in to mixing. He started going to the odd illegal rave seeing the likes of Judge Jules, Ratpack, Slipmatt and Micky Finn and that’s when he started to really get the rave vibe.
Wolf dad was a musician playing in a band, so music has always flowed through his blood. Getting his first set of decks at 17 and started doing mixtapes, mixing jungle, hardcore and house classics. It was a glorious time for underground raves and music the scene was blowing up like mad and he knew he wanted to be involved. As soon as he was on the decks and felt alive there was no better feeling and this is how the passion for mixing began.
He started playing in clubs around Vauxhall area for mates parties, these were first gigs that started getting regularly and by word of mouth got his foot in the door for some of the biggest clubs in the UK.
This lead Wolf on to playing for Gods Kitchen at AIR in Birmingham, playing with some other great artists, such as Stonebridge, John Kelly and Tall Paul and lets just say what a night that was. This opened the doors for me to play at some the most well known clubs in the world such as Ministry of Sound, Pacha, Fire and Lightbox, Batchwoods hall, Koko (Camden palace) and was fortunate enough to play for Clockwork Orange on 3 occasions. Wolf says “my all time favourite club that I have played at and done my own events Is EGG nightclub in Kings Cross, many a great night in there and hopefully more to come.Playing at Philgood and Rams new years day party at McQueen’s which was a great success. and was really looking forward to playing at Proper Fest which was meant to go ahead in April 2020, This was postponed due to the pandemic and rescheduled for May bank holiday Sunday 2021 .A fun fact about Wolf I won a DJ competition at Big Hand Mo’s called Hit The Decks in 1998.
Wolf looks forward to the future with this journey on UnityDAB.
